Once upon a time on a beautiful sunny spring day we googled “Farms near me ” . And we were blessed with a few choices . We decided to choose the nearest one ! The Homestead Farms .
It is a small farm with a very genuine country touch . They have a beautiful horse , several goats , chickens , pigs and everything a working farm has . It felt very different from some other commercialized farms I have been to . This farm was more relaxing and REAL !
There is no ticket or fee to enter the farm . You can get a small bucket filled with farm food to feed the animals for $7 . After the bucket is done , you can keep the bucket or return it for $3 store credit ! There is no other fee to stay on the farm . In case you have 12 or more kids with you , you get to go on the farm tour [$7 per kid , $2 per adult ]. Which seems fun with the hayride , hands on activities and the feeding bucket is included ! A lot of learning and fun filled day . You can have a party there as well and the Farm does camps too.
We will certainly go there very soon again . I am just looking for 10 more kids to go with us so we can go on the tour this time 🙂
